Why
Solo queue is a gamble. This isn't.
Anyone who has played ranked with a stranger knows the problem: wrong game sense, no mic, gone after one loss. Finding someone who actually plays the way you do, on the games you care about, usually comes down to luck.
BotCamp already knows what games you play, when you are active, and who you connect with through squads and streams. Player-Two just puts that to use. Instead of building a whole separate "who is online" system, it is the same social graph BotCamp already runs on, aimed at one specific problem: finding a real duo partner.
It is not the point of BotCamp. It is one more way the app helps you play with people worth playing with.
