What This Covers

This policy explains what information BotCamp collects when you use the app, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can control it. BotCamp is operated by LacAI and can be reached at support@botcamp.app.

What We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address, username, and the country you select. If you choose to add a profile photo or bio, we store that too.

Stream and activity data. We record data about your streams including start and end times, viewer counts, gifts received, and battle results. We also store posts, comments, and messages you send on the platform.

Payment information. When you top up coins or request a withdrawal, we collect the information needed to process the transaction through Paystack. We do not store your full card details. Bank account details you submit for withdrawals are stored to process payouts.

Identity verification data. If you choose to verify your identity for withdrawals, you will submit ID documents through Dojah, our KYC provider. BotCamp does not receive or store copies of your documents. We only store your verification status (unverified, pending, or verified) and a reference ID from Dojah.

Device and usage data. We collect device identifiers and push notification tokens so we can send you notifications about your streams and earnings. We also collect basic usage data to keep the platform running correctly.

How We Use It

We use your information to operate your account, run live streams and battles, process coin purchases and withdrawals, send you notifications about activity on your account, detect fraud and abuse, and improve the platform over time.

We use how you use BotCamp's features to show you the ones you'll like. This is a count of which features you use each day and for how long, kept by BotCamp only, never shared with advertisers or other third parties, and deleted after 180 days or when you delete your account.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

BotCamp shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. What that involves, what is collected for it, and how to opt out are set out under Advertising below.

Who We Share Data With

Paystack processes coin purchases and earnings withdrawals. Your payment data is subject to their privacy policy.

Dojah handles identity verification. Documents you submit go directly to them and are governed by their privacy policy.

Cloudflare stores and serves the media you upload, including profile photos, videos and any images shared on the platform, through its R2 storage and its content delivery network.

Firebase delivers push notifications to your device.

Google AdMob selects and measures the ads shown in the app. See Advertising below.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Advertising

Who shows the ads. BotCamp shows ads through Google AdMob. Google and its partners act as third party vendors and show ads in the app. You will see them in the feed, in Shorts, and as the optional "watch an ad" reward. There are no ads during live streams.

What is collected for ads. To show and measure ads, and to detect ad fraud, Google collects:

• your device's advertising ID, which is the Android Advertising ID, or the IDFA on iPhone if you allow tracking;
• your IP address, which gives an approximate location;
• information about your device and the app;
• your interactions with ads, such as views and taps.

Personalised and non personalised ads. Ads are only personalised to your activity if you consent. Without consent you still see ads, but they are non personalised. We ask for consent in the app using Google's own consent form, and on iPhone through Apple's tracking prompt. You can change your answer later from the app's settings, and on iPhone from the device settings below.

How to turn off ad personalisation.

• Android: Settings, then Google, then Ads, then Delete advertising ID.
• iPhone: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Tracking, and turn BotCamp off.
• Google's own controls: adssettings.google.com.

Turning personalisation off does not remove ads. It means the ads you see are not based on your activity.

Google explains its part in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Rewarded ads. When you tap "watch an ad", your BotCamp user ID and a one time code are sent to Google, so that AdMob can confirm to our server that the ad was actually watched and credit the right account once. The code is good for one reward and expires. Rewards from ads are grind points only. Watching an ad never gives coins, cash, or anything that can be withdrawn.

Who sees ads. Subscribers and verified users do not see feed or Shorts ads. The "watch an ad" reward stays available to everyone, because it is something you choose to tap.

Children. BotCamp is not directed at children under 13, and ads in the app are not targeted at children.

Where the law gives you more.

• EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland: consent for personalised advertising is collected under the GDPR using Google's certified consent form, and you can change your choice at any time.
• Nigeria (NDPA), Ghana, Kenya and South Africa (POPIA): advertising is one of the purposes for which we process the data listed above, and the opt out routes are the same ones given here.

This section matches what we declare in the App Store privacy label and the Google Play Data safety form: advertising ID and device identifiers, used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and shared with Google.

Messages and Direct Messages

Messages sent between users on BotCamp are stored on our servers so they can be delivered and displayed in your conversation history. We do not read your private messages unless required to investigate a specific report of abuse or harassment.

Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and personal information are removed within 30 days. Some data, such as transaction records and withdrawal history, may be retained longer where required for financial or legal compliance.

Your Rights

You can update your account information at any time from the app settings. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you or ask us to delete your account by emailing support@botcamp.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls on our servers. No system is completely secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users if a breach occurs that puts their data at risk.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when we add new features or change how we handle data. The updated date at the top of the page will reflect any changes. We will notify users through the app for significant changes.
